| About us... |
The 93 Racing Team Began in the summer of 1988. The Team included Mackie Robinson, Ray Jenkins, and me (Tony Crim). We had been going to the track that summer to watch the races and we decided that we could do that!! Mackie and Ray are cousins and they had an uncle with a salvage yard so that's where the first car came from. It was a Buick Century, 1973 I think. We got the car put a cage in it made the motor run "again" and we went racing! At first my part of the team was just truck driver because I had the trailer to haul the car with. Ray was the first driver, he drove until he took a job with the Warren County Sheriff Office and couldn't be there every week. I took over then. My first race was probably in June or July that year. The class was called, gracery getters! It is what the pure stocks have grown into. We ran the getters until they were called pure stocks, we moved up to semi-latemodels in 1994. Ran that until 2005 which is the first year for late model. I am really guessing on these years so be ready to change as I research with the guys and old pictures. By the way I am the only remaining original member of the 93 Racing Team. Wins is a record that I cant give good numbers only in late model because its so low, 3 in the late models, 13 or 14 in the semi late, and 8 or 9 in pure stocks and getters. We finished second in points 4 years in the semi's the years I don't recall but the winners I do. They were Mike Hardy, Blaine Swank, Dennis Lamb, and JT Spence (I think)! We won the Al Hampton Memorial 3 times in the semis including the first one |
